Why the name Losantiville?

For a brief period of time at its founding in 1788, the city of Cincinnati was known as Losantiville, a name created from four parts: the city (the Frenchville), opposite (the Greek anti), the mouth (the Latin os) of the Licking River in northern Kentucky (the letter L).
